On Thursday, March 29th, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle delivered the keynote address at the 5th Annual African-American & Latino Social Work Symposium, sponsored by Dominican University. Titled “How to Survive and Thrive in a Deepening Recession," the event featured keynote speakers from prior symposiums to offer insights from different perspectives of social work.
